MALAYSIA: Sports body offers awards

THE Selangor Taekwondo Association in collaboration with Seafield International Institute is offering 100 scholarships worth RM1.35mil for studies at the institution.

According to association president C.K. Karan, the scholarships are open to Malaysian students who have completed the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia and are members of the association.
The scholarship fund, he said, was set up in recognition of members who had contributed to the state in the past and to promote sports today.

The institute's business development director, Dr Raymond Samy, said the move was good for the development of sports in the country.
The institute offers diploma programmes in Business Management, Information Technology and Accounting.
